A Threat Management Approach:
A very practical threat management approach is provided by Vicki King, former Houston Assistant Chief of Police and former Chief of Police at MD Anderson Cancer Center. This compliments her prior presentations in our Workplace Violence programs.

Comprehensive Security Guidelines:
A comprehensive guideline summary is provided to address the prevention of harm from leader targeted attacks. Physical and cybersecurity domains are both covered in this segment

Leader Targeted Information Attacks:
The information disorder framework of misinformation,  disinformation, and malinformation are addressed in the context of activists and journalists targeting leaders.

Doxing – what, who, and how to prevent it:
Until someone is doxed, many don’t know what it is and how it can harm one’s family. The video addresses what can occur and some strategies and tactics to reduce potential harm. Doxing has been one of the most impactful and damaging weapons against our public health leaders.

Public Health Leader Targeted Attacks:
The enormous negative impact of targeted information attacks and threats on public health leaders has significantly weakened our public health infrastructure. The numbers, threat types, and noteworthy stories are presented.

Expedited Innovation Review & Approval:
Multi-hospital and multi-state Integrated Delivery Networks have economies of scale, however are challenged to adopt innovations rapidly. There is a role for expedited reviews of medications and innovations.

Failure to Rescue Low Frequency High Impact Events:
The concept of Failure to Rescue as a quality and safety measure and its history is presented. The fundamentals of safety tied to the frequency and severity of events is addressed as well as the categories of harm.

Hub and Spoke Rescue Network Example:
The example of the low frequency high impact event of “brain eating ameba” or Naegleria fowleri infection is presented.  A successful treatment of a youth in Orlando Florida with timely administration of a lifesaving medication is presented.

Hub and Spoke Medication Delivery System:
The concept of a hub and spoke supply chain system is discussed with examples of how such systems are used in industries outside of healthcare. The principles are covered at a high level.

SMART Hub & Spoke Rescue Network:
The concept of enabling a hub and spoke supply chain system for rescue medications using the SMART framework design enabled by artificial intelligence is discussed. 

Grant Application Advice for SMART Hub & Spoke Rescue Network:
A framework for grant applications for funding a SMART Hub & Spoke Rescue Network for two types of grants:  Large organizations and from family offices of philanthropists. 

Rescue Network Community of Practice:
The example of our virtual community of practice addressing failure to rescue uses The 5 C’s to engage leaders to improve their care.
