James Mitchell joined Texas Children’s in September of 2015 and has an extensive background in Crisis Management, Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery in both the Energy (BP) and Investments (Invesco) industries. While at Invesco, James developed the IT Crisis Management and Disaster Recovery process as well as developing and leading an international team to drive these efforts. While at BP, James implemented a “best practices” Business Continuity Program focused on all 22 corporate functions such as Treasury, Human Resources, Mergers and Acquisitions as well as business units such as BP Shipping and Alternative Energy. Additionally, James brings to TCH considerable experience implementing Emergency Notification systems such as Send Word Now and MIR3 which are the other major players in the market alongside Everbridge. James completed an MBA from LeTourneau University in 2010.
