Physician, Medical Informatician, creative force of nature, market validation consultant. Dr. Martin is Vice President of Professional Services at 360 Degree Insights, LLC, a woman-owned management consulting firm providing services to healthcare ITfocused organizations including market validation, strategy facilitation, program management, and keynote speaking. He also services as Program Director for The CRISP Research Initiative, continuing in this capacity as an independent consultant to CRISP – a regional health information exchange serving Maryland, Washington, DC and West Virginia. From August 2015 to April 2018, Dr. Martin worked in various capacities at CRISP, serving on the leadership team, leading ambulatory customer outreach efforts, and leading CRISP’s Integrated Care Network (ICN) infrastructure initiative.

Dr. Martin has worked as an obstetric house physician, an urgent care physician, a consultant in managed care, health technology assessment and medical informatics, and as a professional writer and healthcare publication editor. His peripatetic educational journey included a BA in political science from Wright State University, a medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, OB/GYN residency at Bethesda Hospitals, a master of health services administration degree from Xavier University, and a National Library of Medicine fellowship in medical informatics at the Harvard/MIT Division of Health Sciences & Technology.

Dr. Martin lives in a suburb of the DC/Baltimore corridor with his wife, Kym, a four-time, 30+-year cancer survivor and President of 360 Degree Insights, LLC, and his 17-year-old son, Taylor, who are both constant reminders of the need for accelerating the transformation of our healthcare system.
