Sandra Coletta, FACHE
Senior Executive, Author and Public Speaker
Former President and CEO, Kent Hospital
Saunderstown, RI
Having held numerous leadership positions in the hospital industry over the last 35 years, Sandy’s impact became more widely known after she uttered the simple phrase “I’m sorry” in 2009 while serving as President and CEO of Kent Hospital. An accountant by training, her interest in human factors, patient safety, and her core belief that doing the right thing is always the right choice, served as the foundation for her transition from finance to operational and executive leadership roles. She recently retired from a position as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of a billion dollar health system in RI. The author of The Owl Approach to Storytelling: Lead with Your Life, Sandy now focuses her time on guiding others on their leadership journeys.
She holds an undergraduate degree from Providence College and MBA from Bryant University and is a board member of Providence College, Roger Williams Zoological Society, RI Wildlife Rehabilitators Association, and RI State Board of Medical Licensure.
