The LEAD Hospitals Initiatives are all focused on driving the TMIT mission of saving lives, saving money, and delivering value to the communities we serve. These initiatives are designed to engage leaders in hospital governance, administration, and direct care delivery.

Automated Infection Identification and Mitigation Systems (AIIMS) is a rapidly developing category of Health Information Technology solutions. TMIT has funded and will be funding research in this area in order to drive down life-threatening Healthcare-Associated Infections. Initial work included development of an environmental scan of the AIIMS functionality and penetration.

The goal will be to inspire healthcare information technology developers to work with groups, such as the National Quality Forum, to develop new standards that can help the entire market, and to improve the care to patients who are served. TMIT will be working with suppliers, providers, and purchasers in pursuit of accelerated AIIMS adoption.
